Public Input

On this page we link to some of the key presentations opposing the concert venue.

February 3

David McQuade - David read the letter submitted on behalf of the Whitney Ferguson neighborhood he lives in and signed by 11 residents. They stressed traffic, noise, alcoho, wildlife and safety.

Karen Wassell - Karen's letter covered wildlife, property values, traffic, safety and noise. The estimate of the effect on property values is important.

Two Risley Road residents, recently moved to Vernon, told of their experiences living in East Hartford near Rentschler Field - the noise and the traffic. On event days residents did their shopping in other towns. Had the concert venue been in Vernon they would have chosen to live elsewhere.

February 4

Robert Lyle - Bob's letter focused on traffic issues.

Brenda Stocks - Brenda's brother, former mayor Stephen Marcham, is buried in Valley Falls Cemetery. She and her husband also have plots there. She expresses her concern for the noise and possible vandalism.

Peter Stone - Peter ask some tough questions about the acoustics study.
